I've been doing some research about the Incubus. The medieval legend says that the Incubus is a demon who takes the shape of a man and visits women as they sleep, then he has sexual intercourse with them. It is said that a child could result from this union. King Arthur's Merlin is said to be the son of an Incubus. The Incubus has no specific apperance, rarely do they materialize they prefer to appear in the dream world. They can also be encountered in the astral plane as well. The Incubus drains the sexual energy from the woman it's having sex with. This is one of the reason's it's called a sexual energy feeder. It is said that you can prevent and Incubus from attacking you by using salt and gold. Dream catchers are said to work as well. The term Incubus is of European origin, they are related to Mara an Night Hags, who also take their appearance from the minds of their victims. Mara and Night Hags feed off of fear rather than lust and take on a nightmarish apperance. The Incubus is often part of the entourage to one of the more powerful entities, particularly those with vampiric and sexual associations such as Lilith. The Incubus often proved to be nasty lovers.. with sexual organs that was painfully large and freezing cold.
